4 Mistakes to Avoid on Your CV

We’re sure you’ve put together a wicked CV! Just in case you need a little help, here are 4 mistakes to avoid on your resume:

Ditch weird colors or fonts

When it comes to resumes, don’t go for the flashy colors. Keep things simple and black or white will do you just fine!

If your computer doesn’t have those fancy fonts then be prepared that employers may not download and check out all of those cool designs on their end–they’re probably busy enough trying read what’s written below without being distracted by how interesting this document looks as well…

When you use a standardised font and colour, it becomes much easier to open your CV on mobile platforms. Plus the loading time is decreased which makes for an improved user experience!

Avoid typing errors/spelling mistakes

Dodge these babies like a bullet! Use those gorgeous eyes of yours to review and proofread your CV before you send it off to an employer. Look for any spelling errors, typos or grammatical mistakes that need to be fixed. Ask a mate to help you out and to take a look.

Don’t inflate your cv

If you can speak Danish, Dutch and French like a native- put that down on your resume. Your language skills will catch the recruiter’s attention!

Exclude irrelevant skills

If you’re applying for a job that requires computer literacy, make sure to highlight this on your resume. We recommend avoiding oversharing of irrelevant skills and only presenting the relevant knowledge from yourself..
